April Highlights:
I was in a bit of a reading slump this month (partly because I had a lot of busy weekends) but during the last week of April I decided to read Cyrano de Bergerac for the first time (it’s on the Rory Gilmore reading list IYKYK) and I loved it! The main message of the book is that we all have insecurities BUT we also all have many strengths, and it’s important to not let out insecurities overshadow all our best qualities. It was truly such a great book, and I can’t wait to check out some of the film adaptations and report back!

The fourth Bridget Jones movie, titled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, based on the book series by Helen Fielding has officially been green-lit and is moving forward with Leo Woodall (from Netflix’s amazing One Day adaptation) – I can’t wait!

I personally can’t wait for this one and I’m excited that she went the route or writing an actual novel instead of the classic celebrity memoir.

Just For Fun:
One of my favorite affordable make-up brans, ColourPop, has not one, but TWO bookish make-up collaborations out right now. First off is their re-stocked Twilight collection and second is their Beauty and the Beast collab which just recently released. If you love books and make-up, these are calling your name (and yes, I personally bought both eyeshadow palettes).
